MSNE Autocross #6 (5/23/08) - May 24, 2008
This was my first event with the new wheels, tires, and coilovers. The car handled a lot better than before mainly because of the tires. I could carry a lot more speed through corners and brake much more aggresively without locking up the tires. Also, the car was much faster to react to steering inputs since the amount of body roll was greatly reduced with the installation of coilovers. Basically, I could be a lot more aggressive with my driving without having to worry about getting completely sideways on every turn.
I ran relatively well in the class but probably could have gone at least a second faster if I had more time to get used to the way the car felt. Also, the sun was setting at the end of the event, which screwed me up in the last run. I ended up going off course since I couldn't find the gate through the glare. I took some pictures of the car on the grid. An album of the event taken by Perry Aidelbaum can be found here.
