NNJR SCCA Autocross #5 (5/24/08) - May 25, 2008
This was not a typical autocross event since it was held on the new road course at Raceway Park instead of the usual parking lot. The layout basically followed the road course with slaloms on the straightaways to keep the speeds down. It was still a very fast course.
The car performed relatively well and was very predictable during all of the runs. It understeered on corner entry and exit throughout most of the course. I reduced the front rebound and increased rear rebound on the shocks, which seemed to help slightly. However, I'm still getting used to the feel of the car.
Since the course was quite long, everyone got only four runs. So I didn't get to play with the shock settings or work on my driving too much.
Perry Aidelbaum took some pictures of the event. His full album can be found here. His pictures of my car are shown below.
